Hard chrome
plating - Also known as engineered chrome or
Industrial chromium is used in bright chrome plating and several use in decorative chrome plating – This process is also called nickel chrome plating because on the technical
process is doing nickel plating following by chrome plating. When chromium is applied for any other
purpose, or when appearance is a lesser feature, the process is commonly
referred to as hard chromium plating, functional chromium plating. Hard chromium
plating typically have range of thickness about 0.1 to 10 mm. On the application of this chrome usually for
cylinders and rolls, crankshafts, printing plate/rolls, pistons and plastic
mold also cutting tools. Chrome plating also often use in rebuilding part such
as rolls, molding dies, cylinder liners, and crankshaft.
